Rules

Any and all rules are in place to ensure a mutual respect and courtesy between the contributors and our readers.  Zoetrope Fiction moderator(s) retain the right to add or change the rules as we feel necessary to better aid in the continuation and integrity of the story. 

The Dos:

• Contributors have the right to add new characters
• Contributors have the right to kill off characters
• Contributors will label any posts containing adult content as “Mature”
• Contributors may add graphics or artwork to their “chapter” if applicable and properly cited

The Don’ts:

• Contributors may not post twice in a row
• Contributors may not kill off ALL characters 
• Contributors may not edit another writer’s work without first clearing it with the original author
• Contributors may not disable comments for a post
• Contributors may not throw hissy fits because the story diverts from an intended path (if you do, you are missing the “challenge” part of this whole thing)
• Contributors are encouraged to avoid adding anything simply for shock value

That all being said (if you’ve made it this far, give yourself a gold star), we are always seeking talented and imaginative people to add to our collaborative brew.  If you (or a friend, dad, aunt, step-brother’s third-cousin’s dog walker) are interested, give us a shout out with a brief sample chapter!
